Mikey Martone

Taking back the music is what some may say is happening in New Haven County, but as of 2023, Mikey Martone is bringing back the acoustic and singing all your favorite cover songs.

Born and raised as a true blue Westie, he was destined to be an entertainer. Martone was born September 15, 1988 and spent most of his life as a Westie. He attended public school all the way through his high school years, graduating from West Haven High School in 2006. In his younger years in high school, he took his first step into music as a drummer in a local high school band with friends from the neighborhood. They called themselves Overlook. In his senior year after his last Football season in 2005, he went on to pick up the acoustic guitar and from there was self taught to sing and play the guitar at the same time. 

Shortly after Martone was of age to work in retail, he took on his first sales job with Guitar Center in Orange CT. There he learned the in's and out's of the music business, and met some amazing musicians and friends which later on down the road lead him to his first big cover band, The Mike and Mike Band. Since the start of his career, Martone had proven to be as well rounded as the best of them. Learning how to run his own music production company, Martone then went on in his early 20's to start his first entertainment company, M3 Productions CT.

When Mikey turned 23, he made the decision to leave his day job to pursue his love for music. It was at that time he reunited with Mike Molyneux, old friend from high school, and by the time he turned 24, they ended up forming a band with friends Omar Sanchez, and Robert Liptrot. 

Over those next few years, Martone spent a lot of time working in the field for a variety of venues and clients providing entertainment service all over New England. He also in that time took on the love of DJing and taught himself how to utilize the turntables with his entertainment business. Being the front man to many of nights out with the band, his MC skills were easily transitioned into building a really fun wedding and event service.

At the end 2015, Martone and the band decided to move on.  Shortly after, his daughter Gracelyn was born March of 2016. Since then Martone has spent a lot of time helping his mom at the family deli and bakery in West Haven, Louises Homemade Food and Baked Goods. He's also been casually playing weddings and shows that were booked over the past couple years. Flash forward to today and you can still find him helping during the day behind the counter at the deli. His passion for music has brought him back to his roots and he's excited to book more events this year coming.
